This is what we've been up to so far in 2017:

Thank you to everyone that came along to our launch event. We all enjoyed prosecco, canapés and some excellent live folk music from the Bramble Napskins!

Auction of Promises

This was the first fundraising event of our Appeal, held on 31st March at Ribchester Sports and Social Club, which kindly waived the hire fees and donated a 'promise' for auction.

A massive thank you to everyone that attended and for all of the generous promises given and bids made, including from Brown's Hair & Beauty and The Whalley Wine Shop.

The total raised from the evening stands at an amazing £2,250!

Coffee and Cake on Easter Sunday

An absolutely outstanding £202.65 was raised for our appeal at the 'Tea and Cakes on Easter Sunday' event in Ribchester Village Hall on 16th April. Thank you to everyone who came along to support and an especially big thanks must go to Hilda Bentley for organising it.

Ribchester Spring Bank Market

Huge thanks to Andrew Wallin and the rest of the May Market Committee who very kindly offered to donated 50% of the proceeds from this popular annual village event. A cheque for £210 was presented to some of the Fundraising Committee in June.

Teddy Bear Parachuting

Held at the same time as the Village Garden Party, on Sunday 2nd July, adults and children alike watched with awe as some of the bravest soft toys in the land took to the skies by parachuting from the top of St. Wilfrid's Church tower.

Every brave participant received their own certificate and every 'handler' took away a bag of sweets! The grand total raised was in impressive £175.50. Thanks to Colin Cunliffe for organising as well as to all the flight attendants and ground staff.
